If 71,200 is the price after 20% off, the list price is 71,200 ÷ 0.8 = 89,000. Multiplying by 1.2 (85,440) is wrong. Tax works the same way: divide by (1 + rate).
30% off then a further 10% is not 40% but 0.7 × 0.9 = 0.63, a 37% discount, because the second discount applies to the already reduced price.
